World Premiere of Tango Macbeth

The Philadelphia preview of Tango Macbeth was Thursday March 22nd 2012 at the Painted Bride Art Center, 230 Vine Street, Philadelphia. We had a reception at 6pm. The first screening was at 7pm, followed by a Q&A with some of the cast and crew. The 9pm screening was followed by an half hour performance of the Spoken Hand Percussion Orchestra. Funded in part by the Independence Foundation Fellowship in the Arts, Tango Macbeth is a ‘moving’ adaptation of William Shakespeare’s Macbeth set to a fusion of Indian tabla, ambient sound, and Afro-Latin-Brazilian influences from Composer Lenny Seidman with choreography by Zane Booker. The film is produced by award-winning filmmakers Nadine Patterson and Marlene G. Patterson of Harmony Image Productions. Federico Spoliansky (based in Argentina) is the Producer Consultant.
